AMEX Openair Cinema Returns to Pyrmont in 2019

American Express Openair Cinemas will kick start the Spring season into gear, as Pyrmont’s Metcalfe Park gets ready for another year of outdoor screenings of the latest releases and old classics.

Starting in November, this venue is one of the leading outdoor cinema Sydney locations, with amazing city views and easy access to public transport – making it one of the city’s premiere venues.

This years program is packed with everything from live music, to exclusive food and beverage packages to enhance your open air cinema experience. Whether you’re looking for a new date night venue, or just another amazing family event, this years program shouldn’t be missed.

The American Express Openair Cinemas offers a unique night out like no other, providing the only pet friendly outdoor movies experience for the whole family, with doggy treats and couches provided to make sure your furry friend(s) are just as comfortable as you are.

FILMS
This years screenings will kick off with a Halloween special, presenting the latest IT chapter 2, which will sure to life out of your seat. With an amazing combination of the latest releases such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Ad Astra, along with one of the most anticipated movies just hit the cinema in Joker, Hustlers and Zombieland: Double Tap.

Toning it down slightly for the family, enjoy a bunch of family films like the Lion King, Dora the Lost City of Gold and Abominable.

FUN UNDER THE STARS
The electric atmosphere delivered by live music and DJ performances will kick off every weekend across the program, with American Express card members being able to enjoy the full VIP treatment by buying a ticket to the AMEX lounge. American Express Openair Cinemas Pyrmont is the first stop of the open air cinema Sydney 2019 tour before the screen pops up in the Inner West at the University of Sydney in early 2020 and Bondi in early February. Sydney is the 4th stop of the Trans-Tasman American Express Openair Cinemas program, which will then go on to entertain summer venues in Canberra, Auckland and Christchurch.
